The Insulated Vest is made from a wind-, rip-, and abrasion-resistant nylon shell that has also been given a DWR treatment to shed rain and road moisture. This outer armor protects 25 generous grams of Primaloft Sport, which uses a blend of large and small fibers to build a lofted structure and create insulating, water-resistant micro-pockets of trapped air. There's slightly less of it than you'd expect in a downhill jacket, so it's the right weight for a cycling application or even a Nordic dawn patrol in early spring. The collar is lined with a gentle tricot fabric, and the ingenious Stowback system a set of pockets within a pocket, providing extra protection for your personal effects while hiding them from view. You can transition from the bike the store without announcing yourself as a cyclist.
